Future Fashionista...............

Baby girl has really come into her own in 2010..............She is now VERY confident in EXACTLY what she will be wearing daily..........I have loved dressing my baby girl for the last four years.........Loved every second of it......Every pink bow.......Every smocked dress...........Every monogram.......Had I known how quickly that would stop, maybe I could have savored it a little longer...........but alas, I am now blessed with a beautiful little girl with an interesting sense of style. Each day must begin with a short sleeved dress that must twirl. Then tights of any color or design. Then special "clicky" shoes. no matter the color. Then the layering process begins. We add a sweater. Then a coat. Then a hat. Then gloves. Then Sunglasses..........

I have occassionally been able to slip in a "Well, Ms. Julie really wants you to wear pants today since you might go outside" or "Your best friends are all wearing skirts today so why don't we match them and wear this!" Ok, I am very aware that this isn't going to last long. But since her closet is full of very cute clothes that are NOT all "short sleeved dresses that twirl"..........what is a mom to do?!?

Smile..............Smile as we get to school and laugh as she begins the removal process..........One lovely item at a time.............

So glad you wrote this post...explains why I dress mine the way I do. I know my days are numbered of being the one to pick out the clothes, and I too want to savor every single smocked dress and monogrammed turtleneck.

And if I agree with it on our girls, I AGREE, AGREE, AGREE about our boys. Soon, (and for Boss, given his large size, bless his heart, the days is almost here) it will be a polo and khakis for every occasion. But, you best believe these monogram longalls and smocked jon jons are going to be worn until there just ain't no other option but to throw a button down on that boy.

Cute, cute picture of your fashionista!
