Saturday morning began like most saturday mornings...................Monkey's rise early, snuggle in the big bed and watch CANTOONS (aka cartoons) !!
And then the race was on...........Literally! Our neighborhood had a big race just like The Peachtree! Well, the only thing similar was the 4 bottles of champagne we drank, but I'll get back to that............
Ok, 7:45 am, police began barricading the streets, racers were stretching, I was baking, and somewhere, I'm sure, A gun was shot and the racers were off......................in the POURING RAIN.........................all 40 or so of them!
So being the fine supporters we are, we sat on the porch and waved to the wet, miserable runners as they sprinted by. Once the Harvey family joined us bringing a delicious breakfast casserole, we took our sweet little monkeys inside and began the festivities.
Orange juice for the monkeys and Mimosas for the rest of us........One bottle, Two bottle, Three bottle, FOUR!!
Oh, and did I mention that we then had to race to a birthday party?? Yes, 3 year olds running around acting like.............well, acting like 3 year olds!! Of course, after a day of mimosas, I'm surprised WE weren't acting like 3 year olds :)
So, Birthday festivities continued through dinner and fun was had by all...........................Only to fall asleep and start it over again on SUNDAY!!
Sunday morning began like most sunday mornings...................Monkey's rise early, snuggle in the big bed and watch CANTOONS (aka cartoons) !!
And then ANOTHER race was on, only this race was through rain, sleet & SNOW to a ONE year old birthday party....Which again served alcohol...........I think there is a theme......or maybe a survival guide to children's birthday parties..........Must serve beer, cake, beer & a little more cake !!

This post had me laughing out loud! Love the pictures and think that the one of you and Emery should be framed asap.
Thanks again for hosting this weekend. Sorry if we overstayed our welcome. For some strange reason, I never want to leave your house. Maybe its the endless supply of alcohol:)
I wish we lived closer!!!! Big Papa needs a "little man" to pal with! And I just miss spending time with you all. Maybe when Brian is down here fulltime(we only have 6 more weeks)we will have time to visit.
Im back....the three bow heads in the last picture make me so happy! And, Emery looks an awful lot like her mommy in the porch picture.
THANKS! glad you came back, there are just not enough comments on my blog!!
